a life of self – advocacy

Do you struggle with mental illness? Or, are you trying to make your voice heard? Is life an uphill battle of understanding why people around you won’t take you seriously? Is life just too difficult to manage sometimes because people are not getting the point?

Sometimes we have to self -advocate for ourselves because in the end, the results of our actions fall back on us. We need to understand, especially those who suffer with illnesses, that NOT EVERYONE will understand the full extent and nature of what you’re suffering with, and that’s why it’s important to work within your own parameters. Life isn’t simple. People will always come to you with opinions and their idea of guidance, when in fact, they’ve got it all wrong – or perhaps they’re ignorant or misguided.

The best advice that I can give you is to live according to what works best for you. In life, especially for those with mental or physical challenges, it is essential that we have been trained on what to do in dire circumstances, and have a plan set in action to help us and others close to us when things happen. It’s not enough to sit around and hope for the best, and expect others to fill in essential roles in our lives when things fall apart. It’s a bonus if we do have people who are able to do such a thing, but the essential thing is that we self – advocate and work from a place of knowledge and trust.

a life of fiction

What kind of stories do you write? Are you a fan of fiction or nonfiction? Can life imitate art? Are you living a life of fiction? What are some signs that let you know that you are not living in reality?

Sometimes we find that life lived in fiction resembles a dream. Nothing seems to be a result of what we do, rather, what others do. In a life of fiction, we are the result not the agitator. Sometimes the best results occur when we are the ones making them happen. This does not happen in a life of fiction. We sit back and let things happen to us.

Life is meant to be lived by active people. Life is not a result of living passively. We must actively take part in our world and do the best that we can. It is what is expected of us. In order to survive, we need to be active participants. It is just the way it is. Fiction works best in works and novels, but it does not work best in our lives. Live actively and seize the day!

a life of annoyance

Do you have annoying people in your life? People who seem to miss the point? Are you constantly harangued by people who seem to think they know everything? Are you following what they have planned for you? Or, are you thinking of what God might have in store for you?

Sometimes people are caught in the “Matrix.” They are lost in the world system and think that they are know – it – alls. They claim that everything that comes out of their mouths is valid. And they hope that they can do it all by working, living in the world, and existing in the present.

Life isn’t like that. It’s controlled. There are people in control who seek to distract you from your higher purpose. Don’t let these people distract you from your higher purpose. You are in charge of your own life, and when the going gets rough, you know what to do to survive. You are well – equipped to survive; God prepared you well. Just rely on your instincts and what you know to be right and you will see your best future ahead of you.

a life of homes

What does it mean to be in a home? Is it somewhere where things are great, or where things are challenging? Is it with friends, enemies, loved ones, or ordinary people? Is it with someone you love, or with someone you wish would leave? Are you full of joy at home, or are you full of despair? Is it a house, an apartment, a car, a trailer, a mansion, or even a castle? Is it somewhere you wish you knew how to leave, because of a bad environment, or is it a place of serenity?

Homes can be a funny thing. It depends on who lives INSIDE them which separates a house from a home. Life inside a home makes it what it is. And even when you are alone, a house can be a home. I’ve met a lot of people who lived inside of lovely homes but wished they had happier lives. And then I’ve experienced many homes that weren’t as nice but were full of love. What matters most is what we do in our homes to make God pleased. It is HE who matters most inside a home, and a home without God is not worth living in.

a life of empowerment

Is life empowering for you? Are you feeling empowered in all your thoughts and actions? Do you feel like there are things in life holding you back? Is life not what you want it to be?

We must remember that every day is a tabula rasa. What that means is, we are given a blank slate on which to write upon. Our lives are free when we don’t even realize it. Even in circumstances not under our control, we can be in power. We know we can realize our full potential when we take our lives and our minds under God’s influence, and get empowered through him. He allows us room to make our own decisions, but in the end, it is he who determines where and when we get opportunities.

So relax and go with the flow, because God is there to catch you, grow you, empower you and embrace you in the end.

a life of drudgery

Is life very difficult? Are you sighing from something different than relief? Or, are you simply tired of every day seeming difficult and sad? Sometimes we encounter situations that seem harder than others. And other times we simply want relief.

Well, there are things that we cannot control, and those we can. In a life that seems to keep delivering things we wish we could change, it’s easy to get lost in minutiae. It is important that we remember who’s in charge, not your boss, or your manager, or your husband or wife. It’s God. And he wants to give you a life of freedom, not drudgery.

a life of paralysis

Do you feel stuck in what you’re doing and who you are? Do you feel that leaving a current situation is impossible? Do you feel terrible when you think that leaving anything – a current job or a marriage is not as easy as it seems? Or, do you wish you could leave your current situation and move on to something more admirable?

Sometimes we experience a phantom paralysis – that means, we are eventually going to move out of where we are but we are experiencing all the symptoms of permanent paralysis. This is not to say that sometimes we belong where we are, and in time, we will see it more clearly. What we do need to realize is that we are on the way to something greater, as long as we realize that life is on a constant path of movement. What we end up doing is even more impressive than what we set out to do!

Other times we are actually paralyzed, and we can’t move. That isn’t a permanent problem. What we do is find other ways to move. We find other mechanisms to move forward. And in the end, we reach the same goal as everybody else.

a life of success

What success means to one person means something else to another. For some, success is raising a beautiful family. And for others, success means making the most money. For a professor, it could mean a great position at a university which would allow them to do as much research as they’d like. Or it could mean doing the most for the littlest gain. It can mean so many things, success, but what it means to God is doing what he wants you to do when he wants you to do it. If you live your life according to his plan and design, then you are living the best you can be. And it is this success that matters the most to him. Not the money, or the degrees, or the spouses, or the fame. It’s what you did the most to please him.

a life of greatness

What does it mean to be great? What lessons have we learned from those in the limelight who have achieved great heights yet lack happiness, spiritual life, and connection to God? What do we know about those who fake their happiness for the other to think that their lives are intact? What do we want to know about those who fool us into thinking that they have achieved everything they have from merit only? What do we know about those who openly disregard God in public and want to only make you interested in the Enemy?

Think of life as an opportunity to live according to what God wants us to do. It happens automatically. He sets out a design for our lives and we live accordingly. It doesn’t do to think in terms of what we could have done differently in the past. The past is over, don’t relive it. It was what you did at the time to help you through to the present. Even if it was a mistake, don’t dwell, you did your best. It was probably the best decision you ever made if it got a reaction from you to improve yourself. It didn’t stop you, did it?

Regrets are the devil’s way of making you feel inadequate from a place of lies and mistruths. The truth is, if you find God, and stay true to him only, then you have reached a place of greatness that even the Greats would envy. They had to come to terms with God at some point in their lives, whether it got them ahead or didn’t, it was due to God’s grace and forgiveness. Some people from the past might have found a way to God, and these people might have lived a life that is not worthy of mentioning. Then there are those who lived greatly, and missed that mark.

Live according to God’s plan for your life and be the greatest person you can be.

a life of ablution

Do you feel cleansed? Is it worrying to you that life isn’t as easy as you had hoped? Are you wishing for a spiritual transformation? Is life not providing the easiness that you had hoped? Perhaps there’s more to the story. And if you are not looking in the right places, then you are missing out.

Look at the way you behave in life. Is it positive? Are you helping? Do you receive more than you give? Then perhaps it’s time to be more proactive and help yourself do more for others. There is something reciprocal in doing more for others than it is in doing things for yourself. The best thing that you can do is find spiritual awakening in being generous. There’s an untapped spiritual energy to relax your tensions and help you sense more positive reactions to your daily endeavors.

Trust me, nothing helps more than using your spiritual gifts to do what is best in the world. It works best to do more for others than it is doing everything for yourself. And the best way to spiritual awakening and full body cleansing is to do what is best by God. And in the end, you’ll find that you’ve benefitted most by doing everything for him and not others. Life is short for many, and for you it may be even shorter than you think. Try to do the best you can by God and live according to what he has in store for you.
