a life of isolation

Are you feeling isolated? Do you feel as if nothing can amuse you well enough? Are you bored? Is life making you feel isolated?

Life can present many challenges – in fact, it is mostly difficult. What we can do in times of trouble is find ways to alleviate our pain in a healthy way – and these can take many forms. What most people do is go online, or find some social outlet. Well, what ended up happening to many recently is the inability to go out and be social. It has caused us all to be shut in. It has brought a feeling of stasis that many would find socially frustrating. It is a testament to the nature of life that things can take a dramatic turn for the worst.

What we can do as faith – based believers in God is trust that he is in fact making sure that his people are well provided for. Even if the next check looks like it isn’t coming, trust me, those who believe in him will find reprieve. There are ways to be isolated without going completely insane. You can read, you can discover new films or tv shows, you can exercise, you can make a new hobby, you can catch up on a task, you can still call loved ones on your phone. Social Media makes it even easier to keep in touch with those you love. If you can’t go outside, make outside inside. So, find ways to keep sunlight indoors, open your windows, and draw your curtains, and do what you can to make it more sunny and inviting. Take small trips outside if you can and try to stay within a few feet away from people in order to make sure you are safe. Get some vitamin D and stay safe.

a life of missed opportunity

Have you felt like you have missed opportunities? Did you feel asleep at the wheel? Or, did you seize every opportunity that presented itself? Were you upset when you didn’t get the job you craved or desperately needed, or were you seduced by something you shouldn’t have done? Is life presenting more and more obstacles and challenges and less opportunities?

Well, God has been keeping track of all your opportunities. He has been making sure that you are up to date with what Earth can offer you, and what you must live without. He wants you to thrive, but not under the Devil’s influence. You see, many of the things that life offers come with a caveat that attaches itself to the Devil. You have to be careful. Take that big exec in the tall skyscraper. Does he make time for God? Is he making time to think about the best things he can do to assist mankind, or is he thinking about himself? What you must remember about what God offers is that he loves to give you what you need and what you desire when the time is right.

So the next time you think that God is not giving you the best of both worlds, that love is not coming, that life is not fulfilling, or when things are not looking up, just remember that these things come at the specific time he wishes you to have it. And when they do come, they will be remarkable.

a life of duty

What duty one has in life depends greatly on where one is in life. Sometimes our duty is to our boss, and our wives or husbands. Or, perhaps, one has duties to fulfill for one’s country as a member of the armed forces. It is natural to think that duty is essential to our lives, but really, it is the result of our actions. It depends on who we are and what we are that gives us a life of duty. What we should expect from God is a life filled with a non – ending duty to him. We are duty – bound to follow him no matter how it goes, whether things get crazy or stable, we should be in his good graces no matter where the wind blows.

As we close our lives in this brief encounter with dark spiritual forces, we should remember that as soldiers in God, we are duty – bound to be in his good graces, and do our best to represent the best we can what he represents. God is indeed there, looking after us and everything we do, and it is not right for us to neglect him for any reason. It is more than acceptable to take time to relax, ponder, and evaluate who we are in God. We are duty – bound to remember his everlasting experience in what we do on Earth, and trust him no matter what happens here. We are duty – bound to be with him in the end, and as such, we need to be ever mindful of what we say and do each day.

a life of effectiveness

What can we do to make our lives more effective? Are you living in a purposeful way? Are you living in a series of coincidences, or are you actively making decisions to make life a certain way? Are you wondering why things happen to you or do you already know why they do? Life can be something that happens to you or happens for you, it all depends on what you do to make certain things happen.

Life is what God wants it to be, first and foremost. We can try all day and not have something happen if it is not in his will for it to occur. We know that anything can happen on a daily basis. Life can be a series of poor choices or wise decisions. As humans, we make the best decisions we can determined largely by past experience and current circumstance. The most we can do to enjoy life is to do the best we can according to God’s will.

Will we be successful in life? Is that up to us? It is determined by how well we rely on God to train and deliver us into a good circumstance. Ever heard the saying, do what you can and let God do the rest? That is the best thing that we can do. Sometimes it’s frustrating when we really want something and God doesn’t want us to have it! We must trust his word against ours. He knows all. He foresees what could happen to us. We must trust him fully. So next time you get rejected from something that you wanted, know that God is most likely behind the rejection.

Effective living begins with us. Move forward, do everything you can, and allow for God’s final decision to determine our fate.

a life of love

Love is something we first learn from our mother, the one who held us when we were babies. In certain circumstances, that love is interrupted by people around us. Some of us are not born under circumstances that allow for us to truly know and learn about love. Well, what we do know of love comes universally from God.

God wants us to know his love through actions – the way we treat others and how we are treated by those around us. He sends people into our lives to treat us well and show us that we are being looked after by him. He knows that we are surrounded by people who challenge us daily: co – workers, bosses, supervisors, strangers, family members, and so on. The true test is to see if we have people in our lives who share our passion for living a certain faith – based life. These individuals are the ones who God wants you to be in touch with for the rest of your life. The ones who know him and love him, God, are the ones who are supposed to be your lifelong companions.

Whether or not you meet these lifelong companions at work, or at a social event, or at church, or if they are people you meet online or in a special group, sometimes we meet them by chance, the point is, we must hold on to the good people and live for the best moments shared for being in God’s presence. We hold the key to a great kingdom, and it is up to us to spend our time here on Earth surrounded by those we would love to see with us there.

a life of forgiveness pt. 2

Forgiveness is about more than leaving things behind, it’s also about looking at the person for who he or she is, and accepting that person as flawed and human. In human life, we encounter people who are simply acting on a whim or desires or, sometimes they plot to bring about ill – will to us or many people. These individuals are being taken advantage of by the devil, and we must use God to forgive them when we recognize them as human weaklings.

There is more strength shown in forgiving someone as a pitiful being, using dark forces against us, than it is to hold grudges and be willfully spiteful. God wants us to move on to healthy, more fulfilled lives. He doesn’t want us to hold on to the past, especially if it brings us down.

Use God as force of goodwill in your lives, and you will find it easier to forgive those who use the devil as a means of trying to destroy you.

a life of happiness

What does it mean to be truly happy? What causes us to feel the joy that God intended all of us to feel? Where does it come from? What can result from a life not spent dedicated to God and faith, is it joy and happiness, or is it misery and failure? Where can we expect to be in the future? What hope do we have in the future if we do not embrace the present? These are questions that many of us ask in our lives, but in the end, they do not compare to the guidance that can be found in a spiritual walk with God.

Happiness is a result of feeling good, and when that happens, our bodies naturally react to the stimulus. We feel good when we are doing something positive, and sometimes we feel good when we do something that harms us in the end, like drugs. What makes the most sense is to focus on doing things that do us well in the end, not the senseless things we do to feel good that harm us. True happiness cannot be bought. Things wear down and fade. Some things get lost. Happiness – a true chance at it – must come from God, and that comes from within ourselves. It is essential that we use our good sense to create scenarios that make us happy in the most positive way.

The most essential thing to do when you need to feel happy is to focus on what makes you naturally happy. If it means doing the most mundane thing and seeking joy from it, then go for it! It’s not always about the most glamorous thing you can do to seek joy, but rather the thing that never ceases to cause you to break out in a fit of joy. The most important thing you can do is to avoid life’s temptations of seeking temporary joy – because that can lead to so many pitfalls.

Happiness is for everyone. Embrace it, and move forward with an embodied life.

a life of transition

Do you feel like your life is still a work in progress? Well, congratulations! You’re in the same boat as many people. Life is about moving on and moving forward. It’s a constant movement that keeps us occupied and challenged. It’s important to treat life as a series of opportunities. It’s not helpful to treat life as something that happened in the past that keeps repeating itself, because in life, we are constantly given chances to alter our fate. Life can be what you make it. And it’s important to take advantage of it, no matter what obstacles we may face.

a life of misdirection

The best you can hope for in life is a life of abundance. In abundance, I mean one that makes you want to get up in the morning. The kind that makes you happy to be here; one that is full of God and his hope. That is the kind of life that we can hope for, but what ends up happening is we get lost in the minutiae of details that life presents us, and then we lose focus of what God has in store. The best thing we can do is live the best guided life that God gives us, and one that we know will fulfill his calling for us.

Sometimes it’s difficult to know where God is and how we can get in touch with him. We rely on our leader to guide us everywhere we go, and we also need to take the initiative to move forward on our own. What we might not realize is that he is always there guiding us, and that many of the things that happen in our lives were meant to happen. In fact, the majority of our lives are in control. Even when we make terrible mistakes, it is up to him to determine where we end up, or in the end, if we have a place to be by the day’s end.

So please, take this moment to stop worrying – life will present itself with enough worries to fill your day. Some of us live by worry – and others live by luck – but what ends up happening to us is ultimately God’s decision. Take good chances and make the best decisions that you can for your best interests, and leave the rest to God.

a life of hope

The way we choose to live our lives depends on how much hope we have for the future. Some of us place too much hope on nothing, and expect nothing, while others place hope in the present – tangible evidence of things that can be seen. There are so many ways to complete your day without feeling hopeless – it can be a detriment to any growth. The most important thing you can do is place hope in yourself and in God, because that is definitely going to come through, eventually.

Hope is a funny thing, sometimes it dwindles in the light of opposition. In times of trouble, it’s fleeting, but we must remember to hold on to hope in the case that we might be challenged to be our full selves in this life; and without hope, we cannot stand a chance against all the opposition that this world throws at us.
