a life of gratitude

Were you grateful during the holidays? Was all you could think about were your problems or your loneliness? Or, were you grateful for all the little things you have in life? Do you celebrate the holidays for the idea of getting gifts or one – upping the person next to you, or are you taking time to express gratitude for having the things you do?

What you do whenever there is a great holiday determines how you view the gifts that God has given you. It makes the life you lead much richer when you are grateful for the things you have, even if they are not enough, and even when you want more. The best thing you can do is enjoy life as a full one, instead of a partial one. It is easy to fall into the commercial trap that life presents us, and compare what we have to our neighbor. It is essential to love what you have as an extension of God’s compassion towards you. It shows great character and love for God when you show determination to be grateful for everything you have. And it even means so much more when you don’t have much.
