Many people feel that they need to lose weight. I for one, feel that way. I often look in the mirror and see countless flaws. I understand how to lose weight, lose the fat, and the extra pounds. It seems to be easy to get the information on how to lose the weight, without thoroughly living it out. It is always easier to receive information than it is to take the advice. Sometimes those sweets are too enticing. Sometimes you want to eat that delicious high caloric meal without the guilt associated with eating it. But in order to lose weight, you must understand that everything must be done in moderation.
I don’t profess to be a weight – loss guru – in fact, I happen to love to eat food. I am a foodie. I understand that life can be filled with illnesses such as high – blood pressure and diabetes, especially in certain wealthy areas of the world. But in a way, we can prevent these illnesses by the simple act of moderation. Moderating our lifestyles is how we can prevent becoming a statistic. It is simple fact. In fact, the way we can do this is to understand that everything we eat must pay a consequence. If we eat good things, we are doing ourselves a favor. If we don’t, we are not, simple as that. Trust that food is there to nourish us and keep us from getting hungry, not to make us fat or unhealthy.
That is not to say that it is easy, in fact, there are so many chemical agents in food these days – even in organic foods, that it is almost an upward struggle to lose the pounds. In a way, big companies like Monsanto which provides produce and goods to places like Whole Foods and Safeway are not helping the fight to lose the pounds by lacing their cloned meat with so many injected hormones; Females in particular are broadening in reaction to their unhealthy meat. Some people have opted for a plant – based diet, and I’ve tried it with great success, but the body requires meat, that is how God made us. He wanted us to eat meat in abundance. So how are we to require less meat to secure us in health if what we consume is not healthy? Produce is only healthy if you ignore the pesticides that go into preserving these goods.
Moderation and lots of water is the best way to deal with this dilemma. Meat consumption and produce from good sources will get you there, such as at a local Farmer’s Market, but believe me, even they can contain hormones and pesticides, depending on which farm the meat and produce originated from. It is important to remember that eating and drinking lots of water in moderation is the way to great health and happiness. And remember, good healthy lifestyles involve doses of activity, and I’ve found swimming and spinning to be effective ways to release energy, emerge endorphins and get you in shape. Good luck with your weight – loss journey this 2020!
